Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text.
It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old.
Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

With over 35 years’ experience in international higher education, Angela has held senior academic posts ranging from Dean of a Social Science and Humanities Faculty to Deputy Vice Chancellor (International).
She also has substantial, executive management experience in the areas of student affairs, quality and standards, marketing and recruitment and branding.
She has worked extensively overseas mainly in China, India, Vietnam, the Sultanate of Oman, Malaysia and the EU.
Angela has served on national bodies and committees such as the British Council and the Prime Minister’s Initiative (PMI) HE Advisory Group
Angela was the first Executive Director for the establishment of the university’s overseas campus in the Republic of Cyprus. She also set up overseas offices in China, India, Pakistan, Vietnam and Cyprus including a research facility in Shenzhen.
For her services to international higher education, she was awarded an OBE (Officer of the British Empire).

Kim has had a varied background in education over 30 years, with roles in academic further education, higher education, Academy Trusts and careers guidance.

As Principal of two Sixth Form Colleges in London and Cirencester. Both of which delivered further and higher education courses.
As a consultant on academic sixth form provision with CEAT Academy Trust, other colleges and many training or mentoring roles.

Extensive post 16 careers guidance work with several institutions
Professor George Stonehouse has recently retired from an academic career of more than twenty five years with a strong focus on working with industry and international partners. He has spent the last ten years at Edinburgh Napier University, initially as Dean of the Business School and Professor of International Strategic Management, and more recently as Assistant Principal for Internationalisation.
David is a former Director of Institutional Developments (global) for the University of the West of England. During this time he established a very effective agency network across many countries, established a number of regional offices and developed a portfolio of partner institutions running joint or franchised programmes. Prior to this, he worked as an international manager for Northumbria University in SE Asia establishing agents network in the region and setting up regional offices in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. In the 1980s, David developed one of the first HND to degree conversion programmes in the UK which he managed across several centres. The course proved popular on an international front and he developed a pipeline for recruitment across several countries. He worked in industry prior to his move to higher education as a principal lecturer in business modelling. David has worked in higher education for over 32 years and lived in several Asian countries for 17 years working as a higher education manager.
